Vehicle Entry Tool (VET) for AR15/M16 and other rifles and shotguns
In military or police operations it is necessary at times to break a window, plate glass, sliding glass door, etc. These are generally constructed of tempered safety glass, which is very difficult to break when struck by a blunt object such as the muzzle or butt of a weapon, a flashlight or baton. An inherent danger of swinging any object at a window is making contact with someone/something on the backswing or on the follow through after breaking the glass. Also, the spray of broken glass fragments flying into the interior of the vehicle can be dangerous to the occupants.

The glass needs to be broken in a safe and controlled manner to protect both the occupants of the vehicle and the personnel breaking the glass. The object used to break the glass should be pointed. This is usually accomplished with a small hand-held punch, which shatters the glass into small fragments. The curtain of small glass fragments tends to fall straight down by gravity.

The C&S Metall-Werkes VET makes breaking tempered safety glass easy by integrating this tool with your weapon. No longer do you need to hammer away with your weapon's muzzle or butt, or put your weapon aside to use another tool. Just press the tip of the C&S Metall-Werkes VET against the glass and push until the spring-loaded punch cocks and fires, shattering the glass. The shock and surprise of the shattering window coming down will also give you a distinct psychological advantage over the occupants refusing to exit the vehicle. With the C&S Metall-Werkes VET you are in full control of the situation at all times.
